Spin Tech Motorsports had it's origin back in the mid 1980's. Car
Owner Ron DiDonato, a former Go-Kart Champion, raced with the
Traditional Sprint Cars of the California Racing Association (CRA)
at the legendary Ascot Park in Gardena, CA.
Ron steadily moved up the ranks and is a member of Ascot's
18-Second Club. He continued to race with CRA after Ascot closed in
1990 and on occasion raced with the winged sprinters of the Northern
Auto Racing Club (NARC). Ron won the inaugural Wagsdash in 1991 at
Bakersfield Speedway. As a member of CRA, Ron would support the
Midwest Tour and venture with the club from the west coast to
Pennsylvania.
Ron ran several years with the new Sprint Car Racing Association
(SCRA). This club continued the rich tradition of non-wing west
coast sprint car racing. Recently, Ron decided to step out of the
driver's seat and make the focus more on becoming a car owner.
In 2002, Spin Tech Motorsports reached an agreement with Danny
Sheridan from Santa Maria, CA. Danny is coming off his best season
with 410 Sprints and the new combination should be exciting and is
looking to become a threat to the veterans of SCRA. Stop by and see
